Dr. Avraham Kadar is a physicist by training, a physician specializing in immunology and pediatrics, an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. With a vision to make high-quality education and knowledge accessible to all kids, in 1999 Dr. Kadar founded BrainPOP, a pioneering, animation-based digital learning platform.
 

BrainPOP has since revolutionized the way children build background knowledge by making learning a curiosity-driven, accessible, and engaging experience. BrainPOP reaches and impacts millions of students, teachers, and families around the world. The company was acquired in 2022 by KIRKBI, the family-owned holding and investment company of the LEGO brand, in its first acquisition in the digital learning space. 
 

Through his philanthropic activities, Dr. Kadar supports Israeli creativity and programs in the field of education. He is a founder of Teach First Israel, a teacher-training program he and his family support through the Naomi Foundation. Dr. Kadar was one of the first funders of SpaceIL, and he continues to support numerous academic institutions, including Tel Aviv University, Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Sheba, the Weizmann Institute of Science, and others.
 

Dr. Kadar founded the Kadar Foundation in 2001.
